8TEEN ARTS AND CULTURAL CENTER

Our mutual mission is to provide affordable, entertaining performances of the highest quality that promote community, accessibility and diversity.  To produce events that create appreciation and awareness for the arts and where the are a cultural expression intended for everyone.

In the spirit of “4 x 4 x Floor” and “Dance N’ Dine”, (also produced by The PGK Project) this new monthly series is yet one more opportunity for established and emerging local artists of all ages to present finished or “in process” works.

Centrally located just off University Avenue at 3925 Ohio Street in the North Park Arts District, 8Teen Arts & Cultural Center maintains a stunning, wide-open floor conducive for all types of performance (including dance), with a flexible sound and lighting system.

A $5 suggested donation at the door and the raffling of dance, music, theatre, movie tickets, services and certificates provided by our monthly sponsors from throughout San Diego County, feed an artists fund to pay artists for their performance.

18% of "concession" profits go immediately towards establishing “House of Hope”, a short-term emergency shelter for homeless young adults (18-24).  "The Movement's" income supports the Performance Fund and a percentage goes to support 8Teen arts & cultural center's programming including art and music classes, and mentoring in administration and production for homeless and disadvantaged youth.

For more information about performance opportunities please contact The PGK Project at thepgkproject@aol.com.
